how many kilo of reel reef rock for 160 gal

iv paid for 30kg of reel reef rock and picking up next week" but just thinking if this will be enough for 6ft 22inch 22inch tank? id like parts of my rock built up high because wont to add sps later on when tank is mature"

I think this is really dependent upon the aesthetic appeal you’re after. 30 kilos in a tank that large sounds a bit on the small side but if your just trying to create some high areas for your sps corals and have a lot of open area for your fish to swim it may be totally adequate. Again this totally depends upon how you stack rock ie center stack, back stack etc. Start with the 30 kilo and see if you like what you’re able to create. You can always add more. That’s what’s awesome about this hobby! You get to create your own little piece of the ocean within your living space! If your question is with respects to 30kilos being enough for bacteria to inhabit; you probably already know this but you can add additional rock to your sump or another type of bacterial inhabiting material to your sump for that purpose.
