Cheapie Amazon clip-on filter set for my iPhone -- I just keep the yellow and orange filters stacked and clip-on my phone quickly if I want to take a pic.

...but I'm lazy and my pics suck anyway,,, at least the color under blue lights looks way better than without the filters though.

*P.S. I don't understand why the myAI app doesn't have a "Photo Mode" button to quickly switch your lights to alternate settings (mostly white) -- 2x AI Prime 16 HD LEDs here and, other than that, I love the app.

I don't really use it for photography specifically.. but the flipper magnifying glass with the orange filter is useful from time to time. Mainly just use it to get a clearer view for myself or someone viewing the tank though

Depends on the time of day I am shooting and what kind of pictures I want to take. At my peak white, I generally do not use any filters and just make post edits in lightroom adjusting the color temperature. If I am shooting in very heavy blues, I will use the new 55mm orphek lens kit. I have a step up adapter that allows me to use it with my a6000.

I also have tiffen's orange filter (forgot the exact model), but I am not a huge of it. I feel like the orange is way too strong compared to the orphek kit and creates artificial color pop this is my aquarium using my filters I'm not sure where I'm supposed to post pictures so I thought I would post them on here

I'm still using an older Samsung Galaxy S10+, hopefully here soon I'll get an upgrade with a better camera, but in the stock camera app on Samsung phone they have a color correction that goes up to 10000K. I find this is more than adequate at taking photos in the spectrum of lighting I prefer. Using the orange filters makes everything look incredibly fake and way over exposed.

I have an Orphek filter set for my iPhone that use a fair bit especially later in day when it’s heavily blues dominant. Although I will use my kraken glasses if I want them to be extra bright and pop. Here’s two shots one with the lens filter kit and one with the kraken. 1st is orphek- 908AFBE8-CD13-4C2E-9669-74EE76223598.jpeg
Next is kraken 97B2FDAE-6250-4700-9FBA-7C9DD48EC8EA.jpeg
I personally like both for different reasons and conditions.

I used to use colored filters or just my reef to reef glasses over my phone, but now I did the research and covered the entire front of my glass with a blue light blocking, uv, amber colored film tinting. Now every photo I take face on comes out perfect.

How many of you guys use colored lens filters for your coral/reef photography?

These filters can be really helpful (especially for those of us who aren't as good at "dialing in" camera settings to correct the blue hues in our reef photos). Here's an interesting article that helps to explain what happens with light and photography in underwater settings and why these filters are so helpful: COLOR CORRECTING FILTERS FOR UNDERWATER PHOTOGRAPHY

Here's a video that shows what these can do:

What do you guys think? Have you found these to be helpful? Which ones do you like best?

I use the same A360X lights in my livign room tank! and it also looks like we use a similar Lens Kit:
