How much All for Reef are you dosing?

I swapped to all for reef from triton and have had good results. I have a 100 gal SPS dominant tank. I’m up to 55mL per day to keep my Alk at 8. It seems like a lot and was curious if this is typical with A4R. I’m doing DIY method with the individual components from TM to keep cost down (I also had some A and K before hand)

Also what time and over how long are you guys dosing?

I'm dosing 27ml a day down from 30ml. I try to keep alk between 8-9 and cut back a little when it went over 9 dkh . I dose in 5 doses between 8am and noon. I was manually dosing and feel it works out just fine but I had a doser here and was starting to forget to dose so I installed the doser.

EDIT : roughly 60g volume.

Yeah I just recently increased it again from 54 to 60, my new years resolution is to research other, more cost effective dosing methods, AFR is super expensive where I live and I'm going through it too fast now.

I was dosing 25 ml per day in a 60 gal mixed reef. Did a fragging session and have lowered it to 18ml for now. Seems my birdnest coral was using a lot. Once cit down it reduced my consumption quite a bit.

I dose 50 ml a day split into 10 doses throughout the day. I also top off with roughly 1200 ml of kalk water a day. 30 gallon aquarium. 60% SPS, 35% LPS, 5% Soft corals. I try to keep Alk around 8.5

Why are you splitting up the doses throughout the day?

I thought it was a single dose in the AM.

What are your reasonings?

A lot of people keep their alk around 8ish. Why do you prefer 10?
