We bought a Kessil AP9x and mounting arm Monday, then a screen kit and a couple feeding ports the next. Nothing with the Kessil, screen arrives tomorrow, but not holding my breath. My theory (and justification to my wife) is that while they're a big company, they're not like Amazon big. We have to win eventually, right? Yeah. Like the op said, marketing genius. Hopefully I won't fall for it again, but how do you resist potentially free stuff?

They probably have thousands of customers, and especially more during a giveaway event. They give away tons of stuff, lots of people on YouTube won.
Not every person that purchases products from them are on R2R, they may be on another forum, social media, or nothing but YouTube. I don't think it's right to call it just marketing genius as it is, but it's tons of money that they all (vendors, suppliers and retail stores) lose out on by donating products to the customers for their appreciation.
I think it's amazing that companies like them and their sponsor's, along with R2R put on these great giveaways and deals to all of us. And yes I hope I get something too

I bought some additives and macroalgae, one package is 1.8 lbs and the other is 8 lbs. I'm just assuming the box for the macroalgae is heavy due to shipping in water. Really REALLY needed that rodi unit....guess we'll see Tuesday when they arrive! Thanks to BRS either way, it's great that they & the sponsors give back
