The low salinity I get for the fish, but I wonder about long term effects to corals. @jsker might be able to help as they have a thread discussing their experience with low salinity
That would be awesome. I do fully wonder what effects it have on corals.

I mean back when I worked at a LFS, we used to lose corals at the bottom under all the racks that we did not want to move, that would just go for months on end at 1.021 growing until we decide to scoop them up. XD I wonder what the actual long term effects are though, a few months is not necessarily that long.

Some run lower salinity temporarily to teat sick fish and to reduce algae blooms. In a reef tank one want to keep there system as close to the ocean parameters. With a low salinity in a reef tank, one will start seeing corals stress and start to bleach after 3 weeks.

In my experience, I did not see any effects on the fish, but corals did not do so well.
