So I'm curious, I've been running a reactor now for about a year and 3 months, its performed flawlessly. The media is 2little fishs reborn with zeovit mag mixed in in big chamber and I use the arm reactor media in the small chamber. Since I started using it it's only dropped about 2in in the reactor ...

For people that have been using them for a long time, do you have to change the media, does it get exhausted or does it just dissolve over time and you just add more?

Thanks.

I change mine when it is down to 25-33% of when I started. This is about when I notice that it cannot keep up with demand anymore.

So I guess my usage is minimal. Bc I'm down maybe 20% in about a year and a few months.

I go through a lot of media. Main rubble chamber is 8” acrylic tube and its drops about 10-12” in six months. Those mathematically more able than I would be able to calculate the volume consumed. I refill every six months and do a full clean out every year .... more or less.
