They get eels and sharks in all the time, never seen a tang like this before tho. I was just curious.

Yea definitely my LFS has a full grown black tang on theirs display and it looks really creepy and snaps when i come to the glass

My understanding is they are very rare.

Your LFS must know their stuff and their tanks must be maintained well and clean.

I cannot imagine buying a 2k fish, let along more than that, and then possibly losing it. Way over my risk threshold.
