I'm just getting over a recovery from Dino (Ostreopsis) and the tank and corals are looking better than they ever did and Dinos are under control thankfully. I test the water once a week and over the past 3-4 weeks my readings have been more or less

MG - 1300
Alk - 8.4
Calc - 350
PH ranges from about 8.1 to 8.3 through the course of the day.

I'm using regular Tropic Marin salt and change roughly 5 gallons twice a week in a Reefer 625xxl. Thinking about switch to TM Pro for the more optimal levels.

Tank is a mixed reef but have 10-15 pieces of SPS and growing.

Should I raise the MG and Calc levels slowly? and How do I go about that without raising the Alk along with it. I use ESV 2 part on a GHL doser and am dosing 30ml of both Alk and Calc per day.

Your magnesium is fine. Your calcium is pretty close, so I’d just do a few larger doses of the calcium only part to hit 420 or so. Then figure your calcium usage and adjust your doser.

Thank you. I'll try buffering it slowly with the calcium part and keep a watch on the levels.
