I currently have a 3 gallon paly and zoa fishless pico reef tank that I'm starting and I'm planning on feed them to boost growth/color. I heard that palys especially love feeding. However, whenever I feed freeze dried cyclops to my zoas/palys (I mix the cyclops in water, rehydrate, and then use a pipette to spot feed), I notice the water quality goes down quickly. I don't feed that much and I have a lot of live rock in my tank. What kind of food source should I get for my zoas/palys that won't foul up the water as much? Would culturing live tiny copepods in the tank do the trick?

All of my corals love Brightwell coralaminos and they don’t affect water quality. I broadcast feed them daily.

They have coral foods like grolabs ect.
U mix with tank water like u r and spot feed.
They are high in concentrate and will bring down ur water quality yes. Specially in a 3g.
You could try fresher foods. Live foods.
Id try rods.coral foods. Small small amounts lol.
Feed the tank rather than spot feed.

Zoas and palys are like mushroom coral and other soft coral and will absorb nutrients from the water u don't see.
They prefer a little "dirtier" water.
U can try and go with a coral.color upper as well if thats ur goal. I think red sea makes a coral color booster.

I would just feed only an hour or such before the weekly water change.
