I've had a pair of ocellaris clownfish for about 3 months and no luck. Does the picture on the glass trick work and/or is there a better way?

You can try it. I've been pretty frustrated at times with clowns and even had a pair "divorce" and dehost thier BTA they had hosted for over a year. Good luck!

Of course the picture doesn’t work ….. problem isn’t the anemone, it’s the clowns . BTA isn’t their natural host. Sometimes they’ll settle sometimes they won’t.

It took my tank raised Snowflake pair about 4 months to "find" the BTAs... 4 BTAs... in a 10g tank... Once they did, they go from anemone to anemone constantly. Like kids in a candy store. :D

I have a mix of green and rainbow, and the clowns don't seem to differentiate. They (now) love them all.

I tried every trick in the book. Took several anemone and over 2 years. For all of the trouble I barely see the clowns anymore. They also bite me non stop when my hands are in the tank.
