how to get water out of foam mat?

I sometimes spill water onto my DESK, and it will seep into my mat, so...
how to get water out of it? use a hair dryer? what to do?

its in my room, and I put a towel over the k7 at night cuz there is a light, and I CANNOT SLEEP WITH LIGHT!!!
and so... I was running my uv sterilizer and there big light on that, so I cover the tank with a big towel, towel in water, water go down towel onto desk and floor
plz help

oh and
out of all my time doing this, this has NEVER happened

I'm not sure putting a towel over the K7 is a good idea since the fan is on top

Try a shop vac to suck the water out of the foam.

I would imagine most leveling mats should be closed cell, meaning they cannot absorb water.

Couldn’t you just use an eye mask? As an alternative to throwing a towel over your k7?

K7 is a light ? Why do you run it at night ? It’s really not necessary.

Don’t put a towel on the tank, that’s asking for trouble. You’re going to ruin your floors.

About the leveling mat, maybe you can try using a blow dryer on it, at the cold setting, not warm.

yeah, the k7 mini, it has a indicator light to indicate which mode its on, and its bright in a dark room, so it doesn't run at night, but for the blow dryer, would the water seep out? seep into the desk?

I use a small sports towel, like the ones they give u at hockey games, here's a model of what I do at night w/ and w/out the uv sterilizer

so, top is what happened, middle is what usually happens, when the towel is straightened over tank WITHOUT any slack, and bottom is just how I usually do it with the k7

Put a piece of tape over the LED, Stewy.

Use paper towels to absorb the water. You need to wick it away from under the mat. Ideally you need to move the tank and dry the desk. If it has been wet for days, it is likely damaged already.

I have done that, still goes through, but thats not the point, cuz that towel did nothing and that towel is fine

done that, but towel is not the culprit, its the other towel, the whole tank towel, I use a small sweat towel
