I have done that, still goes through, but thats not the point, cuz that towel did nothing and that towel is fine
Not cellophane tape, opaque tape my friend or cellophane tape with a piece of cardboard or something else opaque under it.

But certainly, do as you wish. Just a suggestion to make things easier.

What about respiration, gas exchange for the tank?

Sounds dangerous.

One assignment I had when I was active duty, I spent 72h at a time at a remote location and would swap out with 2 other guys. We shared a bedroom. One of the guys shared your sensitivity to light, all the devices that had a light that either flashed or stayed on when dark, had electrical tape over them. Smoke detector, computer, refrigerators, vcr, you name it just so that he could sleep at night.

Until now, he was the only person I knew with that condition.

But to be fair, one thing I miss about living in Germany was the rolladens. I got the best sleep when you didn't know when the sun was up... My wife and I constantly talk about outfitting our home with those.

Rolladens? I would be safe in saying they were on at least 90% of the homes. And they were exterior.

1st video i found: even those type of windows were standard in all German homes.

just ordered electrical tape
Sometimes it dawns on me in odd ways that younger people don’t often drive or go to stores… or cook. 2x year old neighbor eats delivery every night and takes Uber everywhere…. Even though she has a car. Friends children are the same…. Most don’t drive even though they are 17-25 years old.

FWIW Stewy, Home Depot, Lowe’s, Walmart, ace hardware, and numerous other places have it and you don’t have to wait.

Old man! It's an easy convenience to fall into.

I'm a bit on the old side, but find myself moving more and more towards of compromising speed vs delivering directly to my door step a day or 2 later.

My kids (fully grown yet still live under my roof) order meals almost on the regular. Even my wife has started ordering groceries this way.

I was at Popeyes the other day and just the short time I was there, I saw at least 8-10 delivery services come in to pick up an order for delivery.

I think, like it or not, this is the future.

Car driving services is another one. Did you guys read about how the goal for privately owned autonomous capable vehicles will be able to act as an Uber when the owner doesn't need the vehicle? No more parking! Your vehicle will be earning you money (or more than likely the company in charge of the service and you get a small stipend) while you go about your life.

But the delivered food is just so bad... I like to touch things before I buy them too!

Our milk is delivered from a local dairy, does that count?

Okay - but it sucks.

30 years ago I could call ANY pizza using my TELEPHONE and tell a HUMAN being EXACTLY what I wanted.

Some kid would HAND STRETCH the pizza shell and toss on the HOUSE MADE sauce and FRESH PEPPERONI and LOCAL ITALIAN SAUSAGE and some FRESH WHOLE MILK mozzarella or provolone and toss my pizza in a SLATE OVEN.

30 MINUTES or so later the doorbell would ring and I would hand the driver 10 bucks that covered the large pizza and the tip. The driver EMPLOYED BY the pizza shop would open the INSULATED HOT BAG and pull out my HOT PIZZA.

On the off chance that there was an issue with my pizza or driver, the pizza place would offer me a credit. Bad drivers got fired because the owners reputation was on the line.

Now - I can't call the pizza place. I have to use an app, choice of which depends on the pizza place. I have to pay the 3rd party delivery fee and the app fee and on top of that the pizza price is $7 more than if I eat in or pick it up. I can't tell the app exactly how I want my pizza and the over paid kid making it does not bother to look at the computer screen for notes. The kid takes the pre-made shell that has been frozen for weeks and the jarred sauce full of HFC and other artificial crap and the "fake" toppings, including skim milk cheese full of cellulose filler and tosses it on a conveyor belt that only cooks the bottom and top and leaves gooey dough in the middle. The pizza comes off the belt and sits on a shelf for 45 minutes waiting for the 3rd party delivery service to pick up the cold pizza. The delivery person does not have a driver hot bag, so just tosses my pizza in the cold trunk (it is winter... of course). An hour or so later, my app goes bloop bloop and I get a message saying that my pizza was delivered. I go outside to get it and can't find it. One of two things happened. The kid marked it as delivered, but dropped it off at his GFs house... or tossed it on my neighbors porch. I find my pizza two houses down sitting on the stoop in the snow. It is cold and the toppings are all on one side of the box because the kid carried it like a briefcase. I call the pizza place, but they just shrug and say, sorry many take it up with the delivery company, we can't be responsible once the pizza leaves our store. So $35 and 2 hours later (for a large cold pizza with fake crust and toppings) and I have to spend another 2-3 hours trying to get my money back using the apps non-existent human support.

Yes, I am old but wow was pizza good before technology!

Thanks - but I like my car parked in my driveway ;)

And of course--- that is why I built this.... Basically designed in Pompeii sometime before 79 AD (when it was buried in ash by Vesuvius)

A bit on the old side he says hehe.

I wish I could get a few years back, I'm 55, today in fact. I can look forward to the senior discount at restaurants I suppose lol. We need another evening in your shop to catch up on things. See you next weekend at VCA anyways.

I was trying to be respectful to "Old Man Bean" I drove by his house the other day, saw him in a lawn chair, socks pulled to his knees, shaking his fist as I drove by, screaming, "There's nobody in the drivers seat!. It's actions like this that angered the gods and erupted Mount Vesuvius in the first place!". Hehe. In all seriousness @BeanAnimal, I want a pizza oven like that!... I think I remember reading instructions on your website years and years back on how to make one... or maybe it was you documenting your progress....
