Hey guys I have some live rock that I got from a friend and it’s covered in Vermetid snails and I want to add the rock to my tank but none of the snails or anything else that might be on it. I have it sitting in a bucket of water right now but I’m not sure what’s the best way to ensure I’ve killed everything and then do I have to do a full cure since this rock was well established and it will have a lot of die off? Any tips appreciated thanks!

Let it sun dry for a couple of weeks. Spray with high pressure from garden hose. Need to do full cure. Put in separate container with saltwater and powerhead. Check for PO4 and ammonia, etc. Once cured, add to your system.

Might have to manually move those snails, I just did the same thing and power washer didn’t remove the snails

Power washed , removed snails, bleach bath, baked in sun....then follow through with the cycling process
