How do I keep ammonia down in a QT tank? Is prime the answer? I am doing TT but in the three days between water changes how do I ensure I don't get an ammonia spike? Currently I have a 20 gallon QT with a foxface, 3 chromis, and a yellow watchman goby. I added 3 small pieces of LR to help reduce ammonia by introducing bacteria. But I dont think it is enough? ideas?

Biosponges or similar and a decent amount of bacteria are the most common way.

I just dosed a smidge of prime every day and followed water change rec on the medication directions. I also had some extra rock from my DT I put in for more filtration.
