I bought a $5 "rehab" project. Bird's Nest. Needs TLC. I don't know why i think i can " fix it", as i bought it from a well known NYC lfs, which appears to have perfect conditions and other very healthy corals in the same tank.

What special care, if any, would you recommend?

Lighting? Parameters? Flow? Feeding?

I have a two month old mixed reef in a 16 gallon Bio Cube. I have a hammer, hairy mushrooms, a Monti, a pavona, and a Hollywood stunner frag all doing very well. Nitrates read zero with API. Phosphates a bit high at 1.2 with Sea Chem.

I'll update with a pic when i get a chance, but after only two days in my tank, more of the polyps are coming out of the skeleton where there were none before. They don't extend and are certainly not lush.....

trust me if you can give it some good lighting and high flow it will bounce right back. I can sell the most colorful birdsnest to my LFS who run the same lights as me...and it turn ugly af. Its all in how stable your tank is. I kinda am doing a rehab of my own. Apparently I had a pretty nice size Birdsnest frag out of the water glued for like 3 hours and I am hoping it bounces back lol.
