I find that Phosphate Minus to be very fine and some pieces pass through the filters and into the display tank. it does a good job, I had to put the Phosphate Minus in a very very fine mesh (wifes panty hose) so it did not spread all over.

That's a great tip! I don't usually run a reactor on my system unless waste levels warrant it. But when I do, I still keep the media (Carbon or GFO) in bags. I'm clumsy and loose media seems like a disaster waiting to happen. I'm so clumsy I earned the nickname "The Hands of Destruction" from friends.
