Personally, having been to many frag swaps and RAPs, in NY, NJ,Ct, Fla, and LA, over the years, I was not impressed. Was in and out in less than 2 hours… spent more time driving to and from!
I would say that it was the last time I will ever go.

That being said, there was a lot of very nice corals there, but most pricing was sky high!

I really don’t think that you missed a lot!

From the many, many conversations that I overheard while looking at vendor tables, it seems that many corals were purchased because the ‘significant other’ of the actual reefer wanted that pretty coral. I really wonder how many things were purchased, without any knowledge of how to keep it alive long
term.
I learned long ago, not to bring girl friends with me to reef events.

I would have to pay my wife to go.

I had a good time. But if you wanted any coral with color you had to drop a couple hundred on it. But it’s just going to get worse with pricing when Aussie closes its exporting of corals

Agreed… the corals will go up faster than yellow tangs!
Were you there Sunday also? Nobody was at MR booth Sat morning.

Honestly, I felt many of the vendors were selling at a deep discount, plenty of $5 / $10 / $25 frags, compared to years past. Of course, there was plenty of the high end stuff $$$ too. Nice to have both options, for seasoned collectors and new hobbyists. Must have been all of those vendors stuck at home, during lock down, with nothing to do but grow coral. Even on Sunday, there was plenty left.
