So I’be gone from a downgrade to a huge upgrade in record time
Went from a 30g to a 22g cube, then was given a 4ft tank from a good friend of mine.
22g cube (with sump) will now be the observation / holding tank after TTM QT.
Tank dimensions are a bit odd, it’s around 110g display (48”x21.5”x23”). It’s basically a taller, wider 90g.
Current fish:
- Citron Goby
- 3 small Chromis
- Spotted Dragonet
I have a super tiny Scopaz Tang half way through quarantine as well, I really like Scopaz’s (especially their price tag ) & seemed like a good fish to try the Hybrid TTM QT process (other fish were observation QT’d only).
As for coral, I am going soft coral mostly. I love the movement & quick growth, but am more in to fish than coral so don’t want anything too demanding.
I work from home & the tank is in my office, so I can (& do) feed multiple times a day. Angel fish are my favourite fish, I like Wrasses as well. I am ok with coral nipping, if the fish is worth it (again, fish are what I’m in to - I don’t want a FOWLR if possible because I like the natural look of SOME coral, will be mostly leathers, Xenia, mushrooms, a gorgonian or two).
If I’m looking at angelfish being my “showpiece” fish, which genus could I look to adequately keep in my tank without the need to upgrade for at least 4 years? I’d also like to add an oddball tang & probably a Lineatus wrasse or Melenarus / colourful wrasse.
