It’s been a while since I’ve had any good news to update with. I have been battling green hair algae and am finally getting it under control with water changes. I lost a few zoas and acros unfortunately through the battle, so I’ll have to replace them next year.

Acros continue to slowly color up. I am hopeful I’ve turned a corner. I’m still chasing an old school MH fixture - may have one in a couple weeks if all goes well. The conundrum I may have is if I keep getting coloration like I have since the beginning of November.

Alkalinity has been pretty stable around 8.7 and I’ve started dosing zeo again at an even slower rate than I did initially.

Starting to really notice color coming back. Below are some pics of the more recent acros that really dropped their color quickly due to tank conditions. Stability has been the biggest factor - I’ve made sure the water change parameters match more closely to my tank. Fritz is running 7.0 alk and I’m trying to keep it around 8.7-9. So doing 10g water changes was a big swing as that is probably half the water volume in the tank.
