I’ve got Dino on rocks my phosphate is at zero. I have stopped dosing coral amino and removed most of my cheato out of refugium and reduced light schedule. Cheato was overgrown I think it stripped all my phosphate should I start dosing phosphate if so what do you recommend.

How are you measuring phosphate? If you using gfo or other phosphate remover, stop that. Removing chaeto was good. I would view your dinos under a microscope and go from there.

i used this when I dosed:

How big is your tank? Feed more, a lot more. Use reef roids if you have coral in there, that always boosts my PO4.

I thought feeding corals is like a boost to the dinos. I just recovered from dinos (new lights and low nutrients) and haven’t fed any coral food. Kinda nervous to, actually.

Tank is a water box 190 I recently got my large sail fin tang out and have been feeding less. Going to use some reefroids and ramp up feeding

The Hanna checker is good. Hopefully the ulr phosphorous but I think the other one is fine too. Seriously, get a cheap scope from amazon if you don’t have one. I learned a lot when I did that. You can run GAC to help reduce toxins in the mean time.

Start using baster to put Dino in water column right before lights out. Keep it off the corals by blasting a couple times a day. Put new socks on and start rinsing them at least once a day, run a daitomaucus earth filter if have one. dos P&N.

I have used h2O2 also. Dos about 1ML a gallon max with lights out two night in a row. Will knock it back. Some corals won’t be to happy. Only blues for two days.

Was the rock cured? Could it be producing ammonia? Honestly, I don’t see dinos in the pics. I’m not saying you don’t have them, I just don’t see them.

I tested multiple times can’t get a phosphate reading my nitrate is at 2. I have removed all cheato today and marine pure and second filter sock. Definitely feel I need to start dosing some no3 and po4 have some on the way.
