WOW!! I can't wait for my new tank to get here this weekend. Once it's been up and running awhile I'm definitely getting clams from you!

Those are nice. I need a clam. I just bought one from Pacific east and it croaked today. I may be from the accidental over dose of vinegar oops

May have to pick up the first multi color Crocea. Looks just like the one I had to sell when we moved. Miss it.

Hey Joe, we need more info on your tank such as lighting, placement, and husbandry practice to give you a better assessment. I should say lighting is the most important aspect for the long-term health of clams. When I was diving in Tahiti I saw acros occur in ~60ft of water but you don't see clams deeper than ~30ft.

Different types of clams also have different levels of demands. The clam forum in this community has lots of good info: Clams

Some good reading here as well:
Aquarium Invertebrates: A Look at the Giant Clam Tridacna squamosa ? Advanced Aquarist | Aquarist Magazine and Blog
Giant Clam Placement in the Aquarium (The Reefer) | Details | Articles | TFH Magazine® - it is true that it is unnatural to put clams on anything other than hard substrate, as that's how they are found in the wild, with the exception of squamosa, derasa, and gigas (gigas are found living on sand only in the wild).
