That was my first thought as well. When I found it, it was sitting on top of the rocks, just emerging from some bad hair algae. I used a pair of needlenose to grab it since I wasn't sure how it might defend itself. However it didn't make a single stroke to try and get away. Didn't even retract, which makes me wonder if the fluconazole hurt it in some way. I had just added it to take care of bryopsis 2 days before I found him.

I swear youtube is butchering my videos. This was ten times more clear before I uploaded it. I'm trying uploading here instead, and also here's a box.net link if you want to try that.

EDIT IT will not let me upload them here. I'm following the guidelines but it's giving me an error every time I try.

I'm not sure it came out as good as i thought. The focus seems to be off. I'll try and reshoot if it won't come it but right now I can't get it to play to check.

Oh man, I just laughed out loud on the train on my way home from work. That music was PERFECT for his manor of movement.

EDIT: “Oh, man” as a general expression. Perhaps “oh, girl!” to you @MichelleRay

Yay! Goal achieved. XD I was going to put something classical on there just to cover up my cat meowing, but then I clicked that one and it just fit too well to pass up.

I believe those arnt feet but away to help propel the worm around and help hold on to things. I think of spike feet more like a centipede and those are not that.

Ok, here is another worm with more similar features that the OP has described. It's in the family of Capitellidae and species name Capitella teleta. There are opportunistic in nature. Here is a picture of one.

The part that flares is strange. Cant figure out if its flattened and curled or split and opening. And the more i watch the more i see a leech. That mouth piece looks like its trying to grab the cup. Like a suction cup.

Aside from the color #5 in this picture looks exactly like it! I can't seem to find out the exact name yet but its a lead! The description says

Plate depicting several Scolecid taxa and the Sphaerodorid Ephesia from McIntosh 1915

EDIT Found the pic again under the Arenicolidae family.

Yes! So glad to finally know what he is lol. And to be able to release him. I felt bad keeping him locked up. Although apparently people fish with these guys so perhaps he is still lucky. XD
