I have a large tank. Will a 90mm lens work for me?

My camera and lens were delivered this week so here are two pics I took just to make sure everything worked. They were free hand as my tripod won't come till this weekend.

This is with 18-55mm f/5.6

and this with 180mm f/3.5

Lots to learn!
