I feel like i'm pretty okay at keeping animals alive, but I have a hard time keeping hardware alive. The other day I got a brand new AI prime 16 hd light. I mounted it on my tank and I started fiddling with the setting on my phone. All of a sudden it CAUGHT ON FIRE! I put it out with a shirt sitting on my bed. Why did the light catch on fire. Also, I returned it and ordered a new one and it will be here tomorrow. I was really bummed about it but a few days later I find it funny.

Was it sitting face down on something? The focused light will scorch stuff and melt plastic if set on surfaces. (Try holding your hand against teh lense for a few minutes.)

I accidentally had my AI Prime 'Fresh' on the hardwood floor for a minute and it started smoking and scorched the floor, these lights can easily be a fire hazard if they're set down or if anything is stuck on the lens. I have this nice pattern on my floor to serve as a reminder.
