After an INSANE number of set backs, I have reached the last piece of equipment-install, the UV sterilizer. The famed “paper towel” leak test is now in progress. Lol!

Hopefully I can give you all the big “Reveal” on at least 1-of-the-2 tanks soon. Hang in there with me, people.

I wanted a 96” tank, but as most people may know, 72” is the cut-off (limitation) for home-delivery with a lift-gate truck. So in the end I decided to get two 60” tanks and put them basically side-by-side, since the room can accommodate 120”. (I’ll put them about 6-8” apart to get my hand in between to clean each side’s glass with a magnet.) Both will be a FOWLER— since it’s been proven I have lousy reefing skills!— but I do have a small 20-gallon tank just to dabble with some softies. (LOL!)

It would be so cool if you had an aqua bridge linking the two tanks.... the fish could switch tanks!

I just put a controller board on the end that can’t be seen to tame some cables and gadgets; the 2nd tank will have its controller board on the opposite side, also unseen from inside the room.

STILL have to kick plumbing the second tank into high-gear, but the first tank is a dream-come-true. I feed heavily, and between a 24” overflow, protein skimmer, and the UV sterilizer, all I’ve been doing so far to this FOWLR is occasionally clean the glass with a Flipper. Oddly, one rock has grown some Cyno and a tiny patch of algae (from before the UV was hooked up), but it’s not appearing anywhere else in the tank. Almost makes me think of keeping it, for the added color (?!) Lol.
