That's The red stuff on the sand bed?
Yep, sure looks like cyano. So if you want to "rescue" your animals you might begin by managing cyano outbreak and testing water parameters, and make a plan for correcting them and keeping them stable. For me, I would thin out the GSP, remove unused frag plugs and snail shells, etc. - a few easy to do maintenance tasks that might "kick start" your interest again.

I don't think your tank looks too bad either and you certainly have a good variety of colorful corals and an attractive aquascape.

OK, so, it's been a few months now. I couldn't address the tank immediately in November because I caught a case of the 'Rona on November 20. Was down and out for like 3 weeks, but rebounded nicely.

I ended up buying the Python water change system, and boy howdy, is that thing a game changer. My laundry room/utility sink (where I keep my ro/di and mixing station) is about 40-45 feet away from my tank. I got the 50 foot system and water changes are now a non-messy, less than 20 minute, piece of cake. I've been doing roughly a 20g water change weekly and adjusted my lighting schedule and it appears that things are slowly rebounding. I'm going let thing get healthier before I add any more livestock.

Hopefully, I'll get to a point where things look respectable. This is an amazing community, thanks for the support!
