That is awesome you have been waiting all year.

Right? This may have been our only chance this year. Spent two hours there and the girls were completely wiped out. The little snowboarder did an excellent job. She is ready for a real hill.

She got a 4 lesson package she's gone twice now. Yes she says too early to tell. From my perspective...She's more stable on skis but likes snowboarding because a friend a grade up from her snowboards, monkey see monkey do. LOL
Next year no lessons and a season rental/lift package for her, shoot after 5 spine surgeries I'm even thinking of skiing next year. Ha

I only had one. They went through my neck. Five seems a wee bit scary.

Oh like this?

Me too

Yep. Cervical fusion. Before I had surgery, my neurosurgeon said not to lift a half gallon of milk. My left side was pins and needles for months, then after, totally fine.

That's great. Congrats!!!
I was in the same boat, but have bad balance and didn't make full recovery left side still numb from elbow down to fingertips and I have drop foot pretty bad on left foot. PT is trying to get me to buy some $7k device (Bioness L300 GO) that supposedly fixes foot drop for those with MS, but living on disability I can't afford that. I may get a trial run for free then a specialist to tell my insurance it's absolutely needed. Fingers crossed.
I also had this pin and screws removed from L5 S1 that was pinching a tendon and nerves for 2 years before removal.

Coral Growth - Space Invader Millepora

This Millepora is by far the fastest growing of all of our SPS and has encrusted like crazy. It gets the most light at 320 PAR and great flow from the gyre and one of the dual returns.

Coral Growth - Green Goblin Anacropora

Yes, Anacropora, not Acropora. this was a freebie coral from Fraghouse Corals. It is one of those things I would have never bought, but, I love it. It grows fast with very thin branches. It does not encrust, however, which has made owning it a challenge. Between snails and my clumsiness, it has been knocked over several times. I have tried to find a way to glue it more secure each time it has fallen. From the glue stains, you can see that has not always worked well (see third image below, 12/24/18).

I currently moved it completely to a different rock protrusion at a whole new angle and it has been very secure since. The fact that it has been reglued a few times makes the growth comparison shots a little inconsistent, but I think you will get the idea. PAR ~200 now from 180 before. It is slightly out of the direct light. Flow is solid, but less than the rest of SPS Island.

Bad picture, but this is its current orientation after another reglueing. Secured it a little more vertical.

Coral Growth - CC Infection Montipora

This was another freebie coral, this one from therman. I thought it would not make it as I had some issues with light acclimation when I first got the pack (long story, but a combination of an LED issue and my own failure to catch it).

It has rebounded very strongly and is one of my fastest growers now. PAR ~280. It was placed in an area with very heavy random gyre flow along the back of the rockwork. It cannot yet be seen from an FTS, but will peek out eventually and fill out the side view.

Coral Growth - Jedi Mind Trick

This was one of my "must have" corals since the beginning of my tank planning. The colors are just unreal. It will probably grow too fast for my small tank once it hits critical mass. That is an okay problem to have. My thoughts on this were to put it in fairly low light, but give it a ton of flow. The PAR is only about 100 and it sits at the center bottom in the back of the tank. It is one of the hardest pieces to get a picture of being in the back, but I think the growth will be clear enough.
