Okay, the gyre is running beautifully now. The Cyanobacteria came back strong yesterday, so I wonder if I missed the gyre not running when I woke up last night. I checked the tank when lights were out and frankly, only looked close to check for Cyano. Could be why it was looking good and then returned everywhere. We shall see. I added filter pads and blew off the rocks again. Cleaned the glass. Staying patient.

You are the water not the rock. Water flows around while the rock slowly wears away

I woke up to some excellent tank news today. The Duncans were out! First time in a month this “canary in a coal mine” colony has shown its tentacles. I know, they are barely out, but I will gladly take any improvement. Some of the Caulastrea are getting fluffier too. Past week or so it just seems the tank is heading in the right direction.

Improvements, no matter how small, are still improvements. Happy for you!

I’m ok but the 3 nem’s look iffy but they are all hiding in the back so I can’t see them well. That worries me a little.

I dropped my lights from 50% to 40%. Nems seem to be hiding from lights and other coral seem to only open as lights ramp down. Guess I will be getting a par meter

You have a laptop, or a PC near the tank? I will send you my Seneye meter and you can bring it back in August when we meet up. If you want PM your address.
