I honestly cannot tell. I do not think so though because it seems to retract into the rock. It may just be fluffing up though. Tonight it seemed huge. I said coral before but it acts more like an Anemone sometimes. Rich was guessing Scoly. It seems smooth like that.

Probably not, but might deflate. It is so tiny too which does not help. I can say it does NOT look like a Paly, Zoa, Mojano or anything like that. The mystery continues!

Took some better pictures yesterday of the mystery critter. The tentacles are wrong for a Mojano, but the colors are right. It is very small. I am starting to hope for a baby Rock Flower Anemone. the tentacles and colors work for that. It does not seem like Paly colors at all, but I am no expert.

At that size its really hard to tell. Hoping its an RFA but thinking a Paly of some kind. Either way means it hitched a ride in right?

Yes, it popped out of the live rock about six months after I started the tank. Then it hid for a while during the crash.

I have been looking at pictures of Palys and I think so too. Just such a vivid coloration

I think a paly would be more resilient than a RFA to tank changes and ability to bounce back i think

Chalice has shown some growth around the base. It is stuck to the Starboard.

Mystery one looks like a Paly to me, as well, and regardless loving the look on the chalice and others. Coming along nicely!
