Well, I did something totally dumb. Forgot to turn my ATO back on Friday. I was out most of yesterday, so almost 48 hours without topping off. Discovered it this morning and slowly added RO/DI over the day. Sometimes I wonder if I should even have a tank. A few snails died, but everything else is looking well. Corals seem fine, but I will watch closely over the next couple of days.

Another baby Tang at the lfs... I'm going to get arrested one day.
They are so cute when they are tiny. I saw some baby Foxfaces yesterday and thought about it.

We are all only human Brian, you are a good reefer, do not be too critic about your performance. #honestyinreefing

So far the new corals are looking okay. I tried to get a picture of each so I could compare going forward.

Tubbs Stellata

Montipora spongodes

These first two are pretty close to a color inverse of each other. Theoretically, they have the potential to grow in some unique patterns both able to branch, encrust and plate.

Forest Fire Digitata

A beautiful piece. It is very similar to the Bubble Gum Digitata, but that tends too green for me. This one is already looking pretty blue in the new growth. It should compliment this next piece nicely.

German Blue Digitata

This is a simple, common, cheap piece and I love it. Its colors are very deep. In the right light it almost appears black.

Simple, common, and cheap...my favorite corals!
Agreed. The Lobophyllia is really my only coral that is not in that category. I guess one showpiece is acceptable.

I'm a big fan of the digitata's. Beautiful corals and very easy to grow.

I think digitata is just very fun to say...so I need one soon.
If these work out I will send you clippings. If they grow as advertised, I will probably be clipping them non-stop some day in this small tank.

If you were closer I could give you large frags of both. I have a frag with 2 branches of 2" each of the German blue right now and could easily cut a frag of the forest fire digi the same size.

Road trip? ;):p
