I saw a Asterina star and it disappeared ever since. Will it be back?

I saw one on the glass the other day but it disappeared and hasn't showed up since. Pretty sure it's a hitchhiker from a coral frag I bought the same day. Is there a chance it died or just hiding somewhere?

It;ll be back likely in the evening. Have a net ready and net and remove when you see it again

They self reproduce?

I gotta admit it's cool to see them lol. I know they eat corals but I see a lot of them in the LFS tanks and the corals still look good.

Some are zoa eater. You should pay attention if you zoas are closed. They will fluoresce in the color of the victim.

They split and split and split. I have to pull dozens every couple months. They never touch any of my corals though. And never touched my zoas. There is basically two types. If they are not perfectly symmetrical then are ok. Here is a bunch I pulled out the other day. Lol
