*****SHOULDNT HAVE TO WORRY. Posted pictures about this tank about 4 days ago but obviously1 whatever happening is progressing! This tank is still fairly new (~7months). What do you think is growing on the rocks? Anything I should do? Just want to make sure I am doing proper husbandry. Doing a 30% wc weekly with RODI.

Coraline and little bit of diatoms.
Both normal and diatoms you can remove with gentle blasts from a turkey baster

@vetteguy53081 thank you for your input! Should I use a turkey baster a little everyday? or just before water changes? Would this also be a good excuse to get a powerhead and increase flow?

BOTH. blow away as needed, and reduce white light intensity a little.
Added powerhead will help.

They will come and go... often at unpredicatable times and disappear seemingly overnight. Part of the process. You can fight it, or ride it out. Once you've gone through the process it's not as stressful.

So I redid the rock structure and the uglies seem to be progressing, I put on the whites just so its easier to see. The only thing that worries me is that the rock in the top left has some stringy algae. I still stir the sand bed everyday and use a turkey baster on the rocks. Any thoughts
