Hey everybody,
I got this little guy on the side of my first set of frags, at first he was a dead looking bump. We called it the zombie zoa. It is infamous in our house. I've scraped him, poked it and generally abused it thinking it was some intruder. Feels like it has a hard skeleton, and retracts also if bothered...well 7 months later I leave it alone and as the tank matures and really starts growing this little dude is now 4 times the size and looking pretty cool. Any one know what it is?

Looks like a plate coral to me! Love those things (if it is one). That's actually how I got my first plate- on the side of a big lobo. 2 Years later and I have tons of the little babies and after fragging the mother down to about an inch and a half across it is now 3 or 4 inches across. Started out about the same size as yours

So, I have no real certain guess here. But my first instinct was a type of LPS like a fungia. My money is that it can be your buddy.

Here’s an update, the big one is “half” of the original. It is one of six plates left from the og,t that I have. 4 have been given away as well!!
