I want to get into Acro, but nothing I see online blows me away. Any recommendations for acros with good fuzz and or lots of color?

We have lots of LPS, five different Monties, and tonight we got a Red Planet Acro.

I want to get into Acros to keep things challenging and, as bad as it is to say, so I have some difficult corals to alert me to the most minor problems in the tank. I think adapting the tank to suit Acro would benefit everything in the tank.

All of the specimens I've seen, with few exceptions, have been solid colors with very few polyps. They make for interesting structures, but nothing I want to stare at for any length of time.

Any suggestions for acros with lots of contrast, denser or larger polyps, or more interesting structures?

PC Rainbow, Pink Lemonade, ASD milli.

But honestly Acros are as much about the months they take to reach their potential as they are about sitting back and watching the pretty every day.

I would pick on of these old school options and spend $100-$200 on a really big chunk bc you'll only see cool growth patterns and tons of polyps when they get big.

I'm going to have my hands full looking through these. The "grapefruit" acro is a definite favorite right now.

Hydnophora is the fuzziest one I've seen, is fast growing, and bulletproof. Not very colorful unless bright green is your thing. With that said the asd rainbow milli is my all time favorite

Hydnophora is an lps though.

I would look through peoples threads where they show accurate pics and decide what you like that way. Just going on vendors websites and finding what you think might be cool these days might disappoint some of the newer acro collectors.
