I thought Reef2Reef was that kind of club. I joined because I wanted to learn more about the hobby. So, if I read your requirements correctly, I can't join or be welcomed unless I have references? I don't have them, what about those people, who are not able to join or attend local clubs? I am basically homebound taking care of my terminally ill husband who need 24 hour care.

I would think that advanced aquariests would want to mentor newbies to the hobby fostering friendship and knowledge.

I am sure that there are many people trying their best to learn how to grow the easy corals so that we can advance to the top shelf corals. How are we suppose to learn when the advanced aquariests have moved on to top shelf clubs?

I used to be alot more active on this board but had to cut back on activity because I was spreading myself toooooo thin. It would be nice to consolidate even more. Not sure how or if this would work out.

I meant references like a personal reference...Pictures of your tank, experience, other reefkeepers that give you the thumbs up.

To be honest, I have a feeling there would be more BS'n going on than reefing
