What fish do you really wish you could keep, but any time you've tried, they've turned into a bully in your reef?

For me a clown trigger is the one I've always wanted, but too afraid of their reputation.

Had a Clown Trigger years ago in a fish only tank. Added last and small guy who never bothered anyone.

Powder blue tangs.
So far I've had amazingly good fortune with Powder Blues. No behavior or disease ! I'm on my second now who was about 2" long when I got him 3 1/2 years ago. He's 7" now and the BIG test will come soon when he becomes the last fish added to my new reef tank.

Firefish and royal grammas are some of my favorite fish…they are not the problem.
The clown who hates them is…
Otherwise, I’ve always loved the way 6-lines look but am far too afraid of their reputation. I already have one bully in my reef.

I would love a clown trigger but not brave enough (nor tank big enough) to try. I had one six line wrasse many years ago that was fine. Two since have been such bullies they had to be trapped and sent to new homes. Admittedly my tank has very docile fish.

Undulatus. I've even tried them very small. They always look back at you with a "you know how this is going to turn out" look on their face.

Same for me. Had a sohal years ago and he would just race around and terrorize all the other fish nonstop. Had to rehome him…
Terror is a mild term. . LOL

I thought you were doing a reef tank. Aren’t they not considered reef safe?

For myself, it has been the beautiful and majestic Imperator. He starts out docile and eventually ends up bullying all of the fish in my tank.
