some of my anthias died and fish rubbing themselves on sandbed. Also have some dead fishskin I’ve been fishing out. So both clowns And powder brown tang have some kind of bubbles/white spots. Powder tang is not active, not eating nori. He was the most active fish. Clowns are acting normal though. And powder blue also scratching just got him yesterday though. I thought it was just extra bubbles from My return pump while it was running on almost empty. Also had high nitrates and phosphates so went to ocean and got a few handfuls of algae, cleaned it with coral dip. Stupid of me after reading later effects...sight
I’ve attached a video. Should I do copper or something without copper. 200 gal with sump Are they dying or sick? How bad is it? Please help. Thank you!
my fish: yellow, purple, brown, blue and dori tangs. Rabbit fish, clowns, damsels, flame and coral beauty, Watchman gobby, 6 line wrasse and mandalorian wrasse. Blue starfish and a bunch of snails, crabs. 7FC963D1-3454-4084-9789-E9FF6A328728.jpeg

Remove fish from tank. Treat them with copper for 30 days. In that month you will dose prazipro 2 times in total. 6 days apart.

This will treat ich, velvet, and flukes. (Flukes are most probably causing the scratching).

How difficult would it be to remove your invertebrates from the tank? Another option is to remove them. Leave all the fish, rocks, sand etc and run hypo salinity in tank for 35 days.

You can house the inverts in a 5 gallon bucket with some sand and a piece of rock. Run the temp in the bucket at 81F for 45 days before adding them back. Feed some pellets and algae wafers every 2-3 days.

This method replaces the need for copper AND prazipro. It treats ich and flukes. Does NOT treat velvet (the deadliest one).

The video above didn’t work. If you can upload it to YouTube and share the link. Or just take pictures of the fish. What are these “bubbles” on the fish you speak of? Bubbles from the tank shouldn’t be sticking to the fish.

I’m not sure I can catch this almost 5inch powder brown or clowns. My aquascape is really complex. It’s sturdy but very limited and crowded.

I see that. It’s a lot of work. I have a 250 gallon tank and I had to tear it down to get the fish out.

You can try feeding many times a day to lower stress and boost immune system. Just note that there will be some losses, but you must accept that if you take the management route.

Knowing what parasite you have will greatly help in determining if management can work for you.

Your first step is getting a bottle of prazipro and dose 1 tsp per 20 gallons. Repeat dose after 6 days. This will treat for flukes and is reef safe. Scratching most probably is from flukes. Reef safe

If you purchased tangs and didn’t quarantine them prior, you almost certainly have ich. I’m not too worried about that as much as I am of marine velvet.

As far as ich and velvet go, there’s no reef safe treatment for them.

I see you aquascape has negative space. You can drain the tank to the sandbed and scoop the fish. It’ll be much easier.

If you want long term success you would remove fish to treat. I can walk you through the entire process if you need help.

No way I can catch them. I’m a noob lol. Especially with Full tank of branches and shelves. Can’t even clean my sand properly. So many mistakes first time...

Hi. This sounds great! How do I know if it’s velvet?

Hi. I’ve been feeding them like crazy to reduce aggression with mirrors and changed aquascape a bit. All great pointers. Thanks.

Seems like all the difficult fish are dying. Anthias and cleaner wrasses are known for dying.

I’m going to find you a resource. This is one other reef safe treatment that may work really well in your tank.
