Ich or flukes

Hello,

Can someone diagnosis this for me. Not sure if its ich or flukes. I cant catch him to fresh water dip him.

That is definitely ich, you'll want to qt and run through copper to treat.

Its a reef tank copper is not a option. I dont have a qt tank. Will treating with super ich kill it.

Unfortunately there is no reef safe option to eradicate ich, give the second thread I linked above a read, it shows the options for both eradication and living with ich.

Hello, I beg to reconsider. You dont need a lot $ to get a Hospital tank started, only a cheap 10 gal tank, cheap hob filter, a cheap heater, thermometer, seachem ammonia alert badge and a cheap power head will sufice. It will be well worth it to have your own hospital tank, plus you will be able to use it as a QT for future purchases . It's better, and way cheaper, to QT and treat than what your paying for your fishes and loosing some to diseases. Just my 2 cents. Best of luck.

That is defiantly ich, welcome to R2R, and you should consider a hospital tank

It sucks and I just went through this. I had to RIP apart the rocks and get them all out. They are on their 14th day of copper.

It is a huge pain but will save you TANK not just the fish.
