I'm not particularly good at discerning ich from velvet. Maybe they can help.
I don’t have anything to test the copper levels right now so I’m kinda scared to doseTreatment for ich and velvet is the same. Start the copper at 1.0 and start ramping.
Looks like velvet to me with the larger nodules being the fishes response.
Ramp fast.
I agree with this, ich usually presents itself as pronounced white dots, but your case seems to be less pronounced and more of a filmLooks closer to velvet than ich, but I am not an expert.
Are they showing other symptoms, sensitivity to light, swimming into flow?
Without a copper test, I am sure there is a formula you can use to get an approximate 1.0ppm dosage.
No not showing light sensitivity and not swimming into flow behavior wise everyone is acting normal and eating well...I’m using cupramine by seachemLooks closer to velvet than ich, but I am not an expert.

Doing nothing is not really an option if this is velvet and it looks to be.I don’t have anything to test the copper levels right now so I’m kinda scared to dose
Yea I just added cupramine it said 20 drops per 10.5 us gallons...I only added 10 drops so far so I’m only treating 5.25 gallons out of my 15 gallonsAre you starting copper?
I just added 10 drops of cupramine which is 5.25 gallons I have tanks in a 15 gallon should I add more drops or wait till tomorrow?Doing nothing is not really an option if this is velvet and it looks to be.
If that is ich is is a bad infestation.
1.0 (except cupramin is 0.5). Just start at a half dose.
I don’t have a bottle in front of me. It should tell you a dosage. Just start with half dosage for whatever it recommends per gal.I just added 10 drops of cupramine which is 5.25 gallons I have tanks in a 15 gallon should I add more drops or wait till tomorrow?
The lack of rapid breathing indicates this is a bad case of ich. I also see a cloudy spot on the tang's eye that could be Neobenedenia flukes, but leave that for later. Without a test kit, you are at a disadvantage, but if you know the exact volume of the tank, you can use the Cupramine instructions to get to 0.50 ppm.
Measure your tank's water - width x length x water height then divide that by 231. That will give you the gallons of water in the tank, presuming there are not a lot of items displacing water (big rocks, etc.).
Get the copper up to full today, then get a test kit to monitor......
Monitor the ammonia level daily as well.
Thank you I will be dosing copper I have dosed half dosage right now which is 10 gallons...I have 15 gallons in the 20 gallon tank...I’m gradually increasing the dosage of copper I will get a copper test this afternoon thanks for your helpThe lack of rapid breathing indicates this is a bad case of ich.
