Hey guys , So I have a big time ick infestation in my 60 gal reef tank . I’m taking my fish out to treat them and running my Display tank with coral and clean up crew only for the 6 to 8 weeks for the ick to die off . My question is should I dose ammonia to keep my beneficial bacteria alive during the quarantine or do you guys think the bacteria will be fine by itself with just coral and clean up crew ? Thanks

Just feed the tank as if there were fish in it. Ghost feed

I would feed your corals during the fallow period, and any inverts that could use it (sea stars, big urchins things like that) but other than that i wouldn't dose ammonia or anything. What is your plan for treatment?

It should, assuming you go the full fallow period and stay at therapeutic levels for at least 21 days. Best of luck I hope things go smoothly
