I think I know, but I want to ask people who really know. It is brown with no snot and no bubbles. Like powder if you brush it off. When the light is on, it grows very rapidly on any surface in a thin layer, but mostly on sand and glass. Even grows rapidly onto zoas.

Nitrates had been a little low a week or so ago, but not bottomed out.
Currently Nitrates are at 8.1 and Phosphates are at 0.01
In case it will affect the recommended treatment, yesterday I started Reef Flux in the tank for Bryopsis.

Shot under 250x magnification:

1000x, plus zoomed in additionally on my phone:

a tiny zooming flagellate of some sort. not one of our common problem dinos. I expect it'll pass after the disturbance caused by fluco is gone.

Unfortunately they were there more than a week ago and I only just started the flux yesterday.
