Can someone please help me. I bought some coco worms and the rock they came on have a blue like sponge starting to grow on top. Also, there are about 1.5 inch long white threads around where the worm is that have attached to the walls and rocks. They are really hard to remove/really stuck on there. Can someone tell me if these might be more worms starting (without the cool tube they make)?

I had a feel on the sponge :) A good hitchhiker! Now the white strands I"m not sure at all. They seem to like the shaded part of the tank.

The second pic down in the middle is exactly what they look like. It's a pretty strong 1.5 inch thread with a little suction cup like base. White in the water and tan out of water. I scrubbed it off the tank wall but it's not coming off the live rock : / Trying coral Rx on it to see if it's some type of worm...so far no results

Hmmm...that link I attached looks so similar to worms. The plume and muscle look very similar to my last picture. These things do seem to take on a life for themselves. They seem to have attached/moved a little each day.

I just pulled these worm “things” off two of my stony corals last month. I dip all my corals, but these guys are RESILIENT! I dipped them post pulling them from my tank. I put in the drops I would normally do when I dip my new corals and the normal dose had no affect on the worms. It took dosing 8 x’s the normal to start to impact them. Just wanted to test what it takes. So, these are going to get into our tanks with normal dipping. The both these worms look different they act similarly. They encase themselves in sand and move quickly across the substrate. The propagate fast So I am turkey basting them out of the tank.....
