Hey team!

We are in need of an ID. My clowntrigger had white spots appear on his fins today. We are not sure if this is an issue or not. Any advice would be greatly appreciated :)

But could also be some type of worm. You could do a fresh water dip to see if they come off. The spots just look a little bigger than ich
Thank you I will attempt to catch him :)

Pictures are a bit blurry on this end. Are the white spots raised and cottony, fibrous or cauliflower like in texture; or are they more like salt crystals?

Ich/velvet or flukes (flukes are less likely given the pics).

Tough to tell from the picture guy either way you’ll likely need a QT to treat or save other fish.

I noticed my porcipine puffer has them as well. Sorry for the blurry pictures they move so fast. They are not smooth... more like salt maybe... strange thing it is only on their fins... the other fish are fine.

Yeah I think you’ll need to catch the easiest one to catch and do a fresh water dip that’ll tell you if it’s flukes or some other kind of worm
