Hi everyone,

None of the LFS's have had any chaeto for the last 3-4weeks, so I had to get some chaeto from a local hobbiest. Of course it came with a bunch of hitchhikers that I'm unsure what they are, or if they are desirable or not.

Please see pictures below and would highly appreciate it if you can advise what it is and if I should remove. If better pictures are needed, please let me know. TIA

1) These look like tube or fan worms, just am amature guess and dont know if they are good or bad or if that's what they are called.

2) No idea what this is

3) I think these are copepods... but not sure if they are alive as they are not moving much or stuck on the chaeto veins.

4) looks like some sort of baby snail... I've also seen it with a brownish shell... not sure if same specie or different.

fwiw, my chaeto is loaded with pods, bristle worms, snails, limpets, which are healthy parts of the refugium.
Yours looks good to me, nothing I'd worry about.. but that doesn't answer your question.

Photos are difficult to see? I guess I'm curious so I can avoid future issues and I'd like to track how things are going and what potential outcomes can result from them.

Can’t see much with these pics. Looks like pods and some worns. Beyond that would need better pics.

These look like some type or worm. White sleeve but reddish brown end. 2nd photo it slid out of the sleeve. Not sure if it's even a worm.. lol... sorry I'm just very new to all this.

The snail in the 4th picture is a Stomatella snail. I have bunches of them & they are GREAT to have in your CUC. They’re not sold to often, at least in my area, but I got lucky and had at least one on a live rock which has multiplied. I think they’re kinda cute actually.
I’m no expert on worms, but I think the one you have there is a peanut worm? If it is, they’re also not bad to have.
Copepods are always good to have!
The first few pictures where you mentioned fan worms are really hard to see, but feather dusters are always good to have. Good filter feeders.
