Id on a coral that came on live rock

I got new live rock and this coral was on it but not sure what it might me. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

Nice. I'm not sure what they are, but I can tell you there looks to be a bivalve attached below that second one.

I see two stony corals, and... the second one almost looks like something else is clustered around its base. The first one looks like an LPS/SPS borderline coral, so you'll probably want to feed that. The branches on the second are probably an SPS, but the polyps around the base look more like LPS or soft, so you might feed those as well.

Considering they're open in a new tank, they're probably pretty hardy.

First pic I was going to say leptastrea. But the 2nd pic throws me off. It looks like a cyphastrea encrusting a pocillopora or birdsnest or something like that.

Where did you get your live rock from? If it’s Atlantic, that’ll narrow things down a lot

I got it from Tampa bay saltwater so the gulf of mexico/Atlantic Ocean

Sun coral is correct. Can’t think of the other name of the other coral but I’ll find it. You can look up Gulf of Mexico corals. Got my LR from
Gulf Live Rock out of Tampa.

Are they polyping out for you? Then they are happy with the location in your tank regarding lighting and flow. As long as your tank is stable, has good nutrients (fish, fish food, fish waste), they should be fine. You could target feed them if desired. We have quite a few in our system, easy keepers.

Great thank you! Yes they are out and seem to be happy so far just scared cause my tank has only been set up for 3 months.

Corals that survive being imported on live rock are generally hardy. Plus, live rock that's good enough to have corals on it means your tank has had a HUGE head-start in maturity, compared to bottled bacteria and dry rock. Three months with oceanic live rock is absolutely a fine time to be adding some reasonably hardy corals.

If the polyps are out, the parameters are probably fine.
