Hi all
Just removed some coral that was starting to shade stuff under it
Found this red algae under it (pic)
It's definitely not red slime and it sort of spongy to the touch
I kinda like it but have no idea if it's safe to keep in my reef
Best pictures I could get and deffo not red slime

Looks like some sort of macroalgae with detritus stuck to it in some places.

Yep definitely detritus , was a big bit of birds nest growing there ......I need to get the turkey baster out lol
