This came in on my live rock from KP Aquatics about 2 months ago. Honestly thought it would probably die off, but now it’s growing a new piece on the other side. Probably about 4 different pieces of this around the whole rock. No idea what it is.

it is Halmeda and typical on florida and gulf rock. It is a cryptic species rarely consimed due to morphological convergence within the marine macroalgae.

Halimeda species.
Not a tastey macro for tangs, but a lovely macro to have in your display or fuge.
No worries, a good hitch hiker.
