ID this translucent C shaped floating object

This was floating around in my tank and doesn't appear to be moving. My guess is it is some type of eggs.

I’m no real help, but following along to see.

Snail eggs would make sense. I have noticed baby snails in the sump. I have Astrea, Red Banded trochus, nassarius and cerith snails. Here is a picture of the baby snails I have seen.

LFS says they are
Snail eggs would make sense. I have noticed baby snails in the sump. I have Astrea, Red Banded trochus, nassarius and cerith snails. Here is a picture of the baby snails I have seen.

LFS says they are limpets. They said easy to tell as there is no space between the shell whatever it is stuck to. The shell of a Trochus sticks far out from the surface.
