Looks like Lympho. Infection appears on the infected fish as one or more white or beige colored pebble or wart-like nodules most commonly seen on the fins, skin, or gills. this would be viral which is the good news. Assure water quality is optimum and good diet is being given to fish along with garlic extracts and vitamins added to the foods.
If it progresses, Isolate all infected fish in a Quarantine Tank, and treat for secondary infections (maracyn 2 or ruby Rally Pro)

K. Thanks. The water is right on target. Sparkle’s spot is about the same size as yesterday....

I do not know much about lymphocytisis.

@Jay Hemdal sorry to call on you yet again, but your insight is so valuable. What are your thoughts for this fish?

@Lovewindsor Can you post your water parameters? It will help Jay in making a presumptive diagnosis.

Agree with @vetteguy53081 that is almost assuredly lymphocystis. It may get a bit worse before it gets better, but there is no treatment as it is a viral disease, and it goes away on its own in virtually all cases...6 weeks or so. The only real issue is that this fish could get another disease at the same time, and not all white spots are lymphocystis, so you need to keep an eye on it.

Should I put sparkles in QT? @Jay Hemdal I read in some of your other posts there is no treatment? She seems pretty happy....but want to do the right this for the other fish too.

Can you get a shot taken under white light or use a flashlight? The blue makes it really hard to see details. If it is Lymphocystis, it will eventually go away, but I want to try to better confirm that it isn’t something else.

Seems to be getting worse? I tried to get a photo on my good camera unfortunately I don’t have a card reader to download photos. So here is another attempt?

The first image sure looked like lymphocystis, this one is more diffuse looking. However, given the timeline, I still think this is lymphocystis. However, that doesn’t mean the fish doesn’t have other issues. Filefish are prone to having random splotches and spots, making diagnosis difficult.
