If you were buying a 6ft long tank today, what dimensions would you choose? I'm hopeful that we might move later this year into a bigger place...and I'm already making plans.
30-36" front to back (depending on available space) and 22-24" tall

6' long, 36" wide, 26" tall... My tank size.
Although it's located in a corner of the room, the overflow is on a 36" end, so the flow pattern is peninsula style. I love having 3 feet of front to back depth. Almost get to have three different display regions. front, back, and middle.
It's currently in it's ugly phase, or I'd post picts.
Who made your tank? One vote for shallow.
Mine is 60" x 30" x 18", and I'm quite happy with it. Easy to light, easy to maintain, don't get my sleeves wet working on it...
Short and fat. That's what I like
Mine is 6 foot long, 24 deep, 36 high72x30x24
I currently have a 6' long tank that is 19" wide and 24" high 125 gallonsIf you were buying a 6ft long tank today, what dimensions would you choose? I'm hopeful that we might move later this year into a bigger place...and I'm already making plans.
If I had the floor space this is what I would choose. I love my 90 so much more than a 55, and really wish I had a 24" instead of 18" depth. 36" would be amazing.6' long, 36" wide, 26" tall... My tank size.
